Pazolee 200/400 Tablets
Generic Name– Pazopanib
Drug Class – Antineoplastic Agent / Tyrosine Kinase Inhibitor (VEGFR, PDGFR, KIT Inhibitor)
Pazopanib is an oral targeted therapy used in the treatment of advanced renal cell carcinoma (RCC) and soft tissue sarcoma.
It works by inhibiting multiple receptor tyrosine kinases, including VEGFR, PDGFR, and KIT, which are involved in tumor angiogenesis and cancer cell proliferation. By blocking these pathways, Pazopanib helps slow tumor growth and reduce blood supply to the cancer.
Pazopanib is administered orally in tablet form, usually once daily on an empty stomach, under the supervision of an oncologist. Dose adjustments may be required based on tolerance and clinical response.
Common side effects include hypertension, diarrhea, hair color changes, nausea, fatigue, liver toxicity, and hand-foot syndrome. Liver function tests and blood pressure should be monitored regularly during therapy.
